• It’s all about vision
  • Today is the first Sunday of the decade
  • We need to make sure we get our vision right (what you see with your eyes closed; not your sight)
  • The enemy tries to devalue your vision for your personal life, e.g. your marriage
  • It’s powerful to come back to God every year and ask what God’s vision is for the year
  • 21 days of prayer and fasting really changes the game. You have to give up things you desire, to get what you desire more
  • Clarity for your life

Vision is Most Valuable

  • Without a vision, people perish
  • Mighty Ducks illustration of the flying V
  • The play was called by the visionary. The visionary needs willing vessels to get in the game and do what the visionary says to produce victory
  • This is what 2020 is supposed to look like, the problem is you think you’re the coach. Then you get depressed when you fail
  • God wants us to get the play from the visionary and run the play God has for us to see the victory
  • Where there is no vision, the people perish. It doesn’t say no money, no cosigner, but no vision
  • You need to talk to God to get clear, specific vision
  • People stop caring when there’s no vision
  • When there’s a vision, you’re intentional, particularly when you get married. Then you reach the vision then don’t revision. Where there is no vision, people perish.
  • Vision leaks. You have to keep reiterating and reevaluating. We have to not stop caring

Points to Help Value Vision
1. Vision needs a vessel

  • If God is going to get a vision into the world, why not you?
  • We have to be willing vessels
  • Will you have room to carry it?
  • What if God’s plan was to make a difference that people would feel when you’re gone?
  • Where there is no vision, people perish
  • When there’s nothing you need to pray about, people perish
  • When you have time, don’t retire, re-fire
  • Vision needs a vessel
  • This is where crazy faith comes in: not so that things could come, but so that kingdom can come
  • Luke 18:8

2. Vision Must be Visible

  • It’s not a vision if nobody can see it on paper
  • Write the vision and make it plain – Habakuk 22
  • You’re supposed to start moving based on the vision and what God has said and, what he is saying
  • Challenge, get a journal and write “Vision from God” – it ONLY has to come from God and be written down
  • God is the God who makes ways out of no way
  • He can make it work for your good
  • Could you hand somebody a document with all details surrounding your vision?
  • Your vision is what you see with your eyes closed
  • Vision is extremely valuable
  • Even when the holy trinity discussed making man, it was a blueprint (our image)
  • God requires the faith to write it down, not the faith to make it happen
  • Vision has to be visible
  • Get pictures,  e.g. smiling picture of your family and declare real

3. Vision has to be Vast

  • It has to be bigger than what you think is possible
  • If you can do it without God, it’s a project, not a vision
  • A vision cannot be done without God
  • Don’t let your experiences, past, or circumstances, to narrow the vast vision that God has given you
  • Let God know you’re his vessel, then he’ll give you a vision
  • God isn’t looking for the vision to be perfect, but he’ll give you a vision that’s vast
  • Nobody can tell you what God can’t do, look around, the vision is working
  • Genesis 15:5
  • The vision God is going to give you, is usually outside of what’s comfortable
  • Genesis 19 look up there, and count the stars if you can
  • That’s how vast the vision is
  • It requires an element of faith and trust that “I” can’t make this happen
  • There’s no way I can make it happen, only God
  • Be careful who you tell it to
  • People who don’t understand the position they play in your vision, wil try to kill it before it comes to pass
  • Some people are sharing vision for validation, they’re not the ones who gave it so they can’t give you validation for it
  • Write it down, pray about it, ask God for wisdom of when to share the vision
  • When God gives you a vision, don’t kill it in seed form (my mind just went to Will and theater – ask him about it)

Bonus. Vision Has to Remember the Vow God Gave You

  • Vision was so strong, but it’s been soooo long
  • Vision is a verb, if there’s no action behind it, it won’t come to pass
  • Have you done everything you’re supposed to do?
  • You have to have action with what God says to do
  • What action do you need to take?
  • E.g. label bank accounts, no matter how much money, and how long they’ve had the balance. Sometimes that’s the action to keep it visible. You get faith in the moment where it’s weigning (wrong spelling)
  • There has to be a verb that goes along with it. Obedience
  • He’ll give you a word, then require obedience
  • Some of you in the wrong city, relationship, e.t.c for marriage, work it out
  • Prayer is the first response, not the last resort
  • Pray first
  • In prayer, in the presence of God, vision becomes clear

4. Vision Must be Valid

  • It’s valid when it comes from the one who made it
  • It can be vast, visible, verbal, but not come from God
  • When you work a vision that’s not valid from God, then it becomes void in front of man
  • You can waste your whole life and lose your family when you don’t take the time to ask God about it!
  • Ask God if that’s what he’s saying
  • Don’t waste a year or more working on something that won’t count
  • Have the wisdom to go back to the presence of God
  • Prayer and fasting can clarify this
  • God needs discipline to turn into desire
  • What’s more powerful than feeding cravings, is getting a vision from God. That will wake you up in the morning
  • Vision is more important than anything else that we do
  • In 2015 and 2016, the “word” at Transformation Church was “Maintain”
  • If you believe the word, God makes it happen
  • 2017 was “Beyond” – that’s when the church grew dramatically 400k and 400 new members
  • God stays true to his vision
  • 2018 was “Stride ” – walk in long decisive steps in an intentional direction. Find the pace of grace. Less is more. The year of less, God did abundantly for. Relationship goals went viral on Twitter when the church was sitting stagnant. 2 million people watched the clip in 48 hours. Over 100k subscribers in one month.
  • The vision has value
  • There are naysayers. You will not have full support while you obey God
  • Some people can’t see the design of the house when there are only stubs
  • 2019 was “Release” – release to and from some things and to let God free in everything.
  • God released to the world, the building, and influence to preach all around the world 24/7
  • Vision is valuable.
  • What’s your vision? Is it plain? Is it vast? Is it something people can see? Is your vision blurry?
  • Join us in 21 days of prayer and fasting
  • Following vision produces exponential results. In Transformation Church, it went from 1.2 million to 22.5 million!
  • The vision has value!
  • When God gives us a word, we’re going to gather our faith, resources and hearts around that word, the word for 2020 is STRONGER
  • If another person doesn’t come to the church, that’s fine. The people here need to be able to withstand whatever the enemy throws at us!!
  • Most of us settle for more, instead of strong.
  • I declare that your marriage, prayer life, business, communication under adversity is getting stronger
  • You have to get stronger!
  • In 2020 we will be stronger
  • For the next four weeks, in fact, for the next year,  every series is how do we make you stronger. It starts with getting a vision from God and being a willing vessel.
  • Emotionally, physically, business, relationships, are getting strengthened in the name of Jesus.
  • I am available for what you want to do in my life
