• TC’s Culture Code of Faith: We have faith in God, faith in people, and faith in miracles
  • Crazy faith is not where you start at, you start at baby faith. Crazy faith is a result of you constantly exercising baby faith. There’s power in baby faith.
    • Matthew 17:20: … I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.
    • It doesn’t matter if your faith is so small others can’t see it, but God can see it and that’s all that matters.
    • Faith is a muscle; it may be small right now (baby faith), but you have to condition it to grow through continuing relationship with God
  • Matthew 18: 1-7: “About that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven? Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me. But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea. What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin. Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting.”
    • We have become too “mature” to undeniably trust in God. We “hope” God would do something instead of trusting God at His Word.
    • The only way faith can develop in us is if we start depending on Him and forgoing our own plans and time tables. We have to take God off the standards of humans.

Faith in God comes first

  • EX.) If you don’t believe God can heal you, you won’t expect it. If you don’t expect it, you won’t hope for it, and if you don’t hope for it, you have taken out the very fuel of faith.
    • If you don’t live in faith, you are living as “hollow Christians”; you have enough faith to secure salvation in heaven, but not enough faith to live with purpose on Earth.
    • You have to carry faith in God in every situation and day in your life, not just Sundays.

Faith grows by the Word

  • Matthew 11:22-25: “I tell you, Tyre and Sidon will be better off on judgment day than you. And you people of Capernaum, will you be honored in heaven? No, you will go down to the place of the dead. For if the miracles I did for you had been done in wicked Sodom, it would still be here today. I tell you, even Sodom will be better off on judgment day than you. At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike.”
    • You can pray for anything, but you don’t only have to think that “God can do that” but also visualize that you’ve already received it.
    • You need imagination to visualize what you will receive from God.
    • Before God can release His blessings onto your life, you have to release your own grudges and forgive.
    • Faith can only be ignited and grown by reading the Bible, the Word of God; we cannot be illiterate about the Book with the Answers.
      • Romans 10:17: So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
        • Faith comes by hearing, so make sure you’re hearing from God, not your preferences.
