Mike Todd’s Introduction
- This generation that believes more in Google than God needs an infusion of faith
- It will take crazy faith for what’s going on, not regular, lackadaisical faith
- In Crazy Faith the book, Mike shows the results in the light from the discipline that he had in the dark
- Mike took over a church Feb 1, 2015 with his lovely wife Natalie, 37 days later he was in his quiet time and wrote down a bunch of things on a piece of paper
- He printed a picture of an arena, even with Transformation spelled wrong, God took it
- “The spirit bank event center” will be Transformation Church
- 5 years later, he held the keys to that building
- It was paid in cash in 6 months
- 1 year later, God said don’t take your foot off the gas
- There was an entire complex with businesses, God said believe for it
- God is not limited to what you think you can do
- 1 year later, we bought the entire complex
- 1 week ago, Mike stood up in our church, and went and bought a literal business complex that looks like something Tony Stark built for the Avengers, 196,000 square feet – Transformation Towers is the new Transformation Church headquarters
- The same God that did it for us is the same God that will do it for you – We serve the same God
- All of this happened and it wasn’t supposed to – in 3 years, Mike started a church, a converted grocery store, in the hood of Tulsa, now the church owns over 67 million dollars of real estate, with 6 months of community college education
- God needs obedience, a yes, and for someone to stand in the face of opposition and say it may sound crazy, but it’s only crazy until it happens
1. Crazy Faith is Not Where You Start
Crazy Faith is where you start after you’re diligent in exercising baby faith. It doesn’t start with the towers or cancer drying up. It starts with being in your word every day.
It’s being obedient to buying a person’s coffee behind you. It’s showing up and serving on time despite people not seeing your potential.
One day, Bella (Mike’s daughter) saw an elephant in the clouds having a tea party with princesses. She said, it was then twirling and dancing. Something in Mike said to agree with her. You may not have the faith to see what she’s seeing right now, but don’t crush what she sees.
In that moment, God told Mike that he needed to be more like that – i.e., to see it even if the situation didn’t look usual. He needed to use his imagination.
2. The Genesis of CrazyER Faith is Your imagination
We have become so practical that we can’t use the tool God gave us because someone told us that’s for kids.
Your imagination is valuable.
Genesis 1:27 – New International Version
27 So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
Image is the root word of imagination.
When God took Abraham and tried to lead him on a crazy faith journey, God used an image. He calls Abraham outside of his home and says to look up into the stars, number them if you can. He said, that’s how many people I’m going to make your descendants.
It can be imagined that the only encouragement Abraham had sometimes was to look up.
What is the image you have now silenced because you didn’t have the ability to see that it could happen?
God’s imagination created us, we were created in His image, therefore, we can also create with imagination.
Today, the specific assignment is to unlock somebody’s imagination.
Message Title: Unlocking an Anointed Imagination
All anointing means is God’s approval. It just makes it easy because you have divine enablement.
You’re having trouble with that boyfriend/girlfriend because there’s no anointing on it. You want everything God gives you to be anointed and approved by God.
We want to unlock the anointed imagination.
Imagination: The ability to create new ideas or pictures not present yet.
Your cell phone was somebody’s imagination 30 years ago.
VOUS Church was in Rich Wilkerson’s imagination. Crazy Faith the book was in Mike’s imagination.
What have you been shutting down because it doesn’t look like it.
Today the aim is to help you to see, dream, hear, and be able to do.
Matthew 18:1-4 – New International Version
The Greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven
18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”
2 He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. 3 And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4 Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
So many of us have become professional adults and our adulting has choked out our anointing – I have bills to pay, I have things to do, I have to get snatched, etc. etc.
God says your family is going to get saved, or you’ll lose 80 pounds, but you can’t see it. Instead, you think of how much work it’ll take and it chokes out your ability to even see yourself wearing that size 4.
Key to the kingdom: Be more kiddie.
Everybody was a child. Be more kidlike, not immature, but trust, believe, and obey. They also imagine.
The kid version of you may have known more about God that the current version of you. Kids trusted and obeyed and could imagine things that were not around.
The same plastic bottle could be an airplane, a car, and a toy gun.
What if you could take your current situation and imagine it in this way? Where did you stop believing? Where did your imagination die or quit?
Life has a way of cutting in to kill our imagination at a time when we’re very young.
It could be abuse, exposure, a lack on intention, or learning so much without knowing the value of things. Whatever it is, it may have killed your imagination.
Go back this week and identify where your imagination died.
You’re choking out a tool God wants to use.
3. Imagination is the Engine of Your Faith
Do you have a car?
Are you sitting there wondering why this is the analogy? You can go from not having a car to giving out multiple cars. Your current situation doesn’t dictate the plans for your life.
Whatever your future looks like, you need faith to get there.
Homework: What kind of car does your faith look like right now? Post it. Is it a Rust Bucket? Swipe over and also post what you want it to look like.
If you have a car with no gas, you can’t go anywhere.
Hope is the fuel for your faith.

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Have you replaced your engine with something?
For some of you, your intellect is the engine. If it doesn’t make sense, or isn’t a part of your plan, you can’t move.
“I’ve read what it says, but logically.”
Some have replaced it with ignorance. You may have hope and faith, but you don’t know the promises of God. If you don’t know them, then you don’t know what you can get, then you can’t ask for it.
Some have replaced it with influence. You just follow what everyone else is doing.
Your imagination is your spiritual womb, whatever you start thinking in your imagination, it’s the conception point of what you’ll see in your life.
Anxiety is the baby of imagination and fear. You imagine all the things that could happen, but it’s based on fear.
2 Corinthians 10:5
New International Version
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
The reason we pray is because whatever is imagined can be purified by God.
Bring it to God. You think you should be married, to move to a city, to work for a company – bring it to God to be purified.
We like to create with our mind and forget to get it purified – then it ends up destroying what God wanted to use to make something great.
Proverbs 3:5 – New International Version
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
4. Intercession Changes the Focus
When your imagination goes to God, it gets purified.
Your imagination initially looks blurry.
Some of you have been asking God for clarity but haven’t gone for intercession. Pray, talk to Him, tell Him what you need, tell Him what you’re feeling to get clarity.
5. Intercession Changes Your Feelings
Being in the garden praying changed Jesus’ focus and His feelings. He said, “but not my will, yours be done.”
Some of you go to God in prayer about the person you want to be with – you go to prayer about Dominique, but come back out with Daniel. God will change your feelings.
6. Intercession Changes Your Future
God wants to unlock your anointed imagination dream again.
God can give you an image – an image of yourself whole and free.
God is trying to give you an image. That’s the God we serve.
God wants to ignite your imagination. That’s where everything is about to start. Imagine your family together, not fighting at Christmas.
Imagine it. Imagine yourself actually celebrating your friends instead of being jealous of them.
Imagine yourself loving your spouse after they hurt you, and being better than before (restored), like it never even happened.
Prayer: God, we pray that you would unlock, and at this moment, you would unlock the anointed imagination of every one of your children – that you would show them images of the future that would become reality as we bring it to you in intercession. Purify our hearts. It is all for your glory, so that people can find you. Ignite our imaginations. Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered the imagination of your children. Unlock us. May we walk into the key of the kingdom to trust, obey, and imagine for the glory of God.
Altar Call: There are people here that need to be free from bondage, from weight. Jesus went to the cross and stretched His arms. All you have to do is accept Him into your heart. Imagine yourself whole, free, and helping others. Today, that is available to you. If you want to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord an Savior, repent. All it means is turn. You’ve been going to money, turn, websites, turn, the club, turn. Don’t just turn to something else, turn to Jesus. If that’s you, boldly life your hand, 1) you’re making the greatest decision of your life, 2) Mike is proud of you, but God is even more proud of you. 3) Just lift that hand up right there. We’re a family so we pray together.
Let’s Pray Together: God, thank you for sending Jesus, just for me. I believe he lived, died, and rose again with all power, for every one of my mistakes. Today I give you control of my life, change me, renew me, transform me, I’m yours. I imagine myself free, whole, and working for the kingdom of God, in Jesus name, Amen.

I love Jesus, my husband, Will, my toddler daughter, Sola, and the beautiful friends and family in our lives. Me and Will are from the Bahamas, but we currently reside in Austin, Texas.
