Trading Faith
- Trading Faith is exchanging the faith that got you here for the faith that will get you there.
- What this means is that we have to take our trust out of what has gotten us here, and trade it for the presence of what God wants us to do in our lives.
- What this means is that there must be a relationship priority change.
- What this means is that we have to take our trust out of what has gotten us here, and trade it for the presence of what God wants us to do in our lives.
- Trading faith has to hear the hate, but hold onto the hope.
- In the midst of haters, you have to hold onto the hope. As long as you’re sitting in His presence, hope is there. That’s why it’s important to get into the presence of God everyday, because that’s where your hope is.
What Does the Process of Trading My Faith Look Like?
- Trust and Obey
- God has the entire world in His hands and you don’t think He got you? The Moon and Sun rotate everyday on a word He spoke one time, and you’re sitting here thinking He can’t take you there?
- Lean on Proverbs 3:5-6
- Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take.
- Stand Up – Trust
- Jesus gives this instruction to do what you’ve never done before. You might think He’s crazy but that’s because you’re basing your perception on what you used to put your trust in.
- Even if you’re trying, it’s a miracle. You’ve never done this before, but even in your craziness, it’s a miracle.
- It takes trust to even try. So many of us want the outcome, but God wants us to try (and keep trying). So to go from lazy faith to crazy faith, you’re going to have to try, and when you try, it shows where your trust is.
- Pick Up Your Mat – Testimony
- Your mat is where you’ve been (clutch, excuses, etc.) There’s too many people that have thrown their mat away. Don’t throw your testimony away, stand up and walk with it!
- “Yeah, this used to be me, but by the Blood of the Lamb, this is me now …”
- Your mat is where you’ve been (clutch, excuses, etc.) There’s too many people that have thrown their mat away. Don’t throw your testimony away, stand up and walk with it!
- Go Home – Transformation
God’s plan is never to do a miracle and it stops with you. He wants to save others, transform others, and our transformation can do that.
