1. Insecurities 

Insecurities will keep you out of purpose.

Insecurities will prevent you from your purpose.

James 1:4-6 New International Version (NIV)

4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

What has attached itself to you? What has been spoken over you? What have you spoken over yourself?

God wants to break things off of you today.

Exodus 3:11-13 New International Version (NIV)

11 But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”

12 And God said, “I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you[a] will worship God on this mountain.”

13 Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?”

God’s response is what changed everything for Will.

When you become a believer, you become attached to Him. Everything else has to detach from you because they are not from God. You are attached to the great ‘I am’.

That’s how Will got stronger when he let go of insecurities.

2. My Agenda

Brenda heard God say it’s time to pass it on.

After watching Dr. Myles Munroe, she knew without a doubt that it was time to pass on what God had put on the inside of her.

For over 30 years, her and her husband where helping people through prayer and ministry.

Prayer needed to be passed on.

God needs vessels that will talk to Him about everything. You can talk to him about your marriage, about your children.

She knew she had to pass on fire, passion, and perseverance to the next generation.

God told her that she had to re-up in 2020, i.e. intentionally get in the word and prayer. He wanted the purpose He placed in her when she was in her mother’s womb.

Pressing Toward the Goal

12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.

Sometimes you literally have to press.

There is always something that tries to come against you. Sometimes you have to literally press all the way through.

You have purpose.

You have reason.

You have to press; you have to press on.

Philippians 3:13-14 New King James Version (NKJV)

13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have [b]apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Act like you’re reaching.

Reach forward to the things that are ahead.

You may be a mother, you may own a restaurant, but there may be things you need to pass on TODAY.

Pass on the fire, the faith, the perseverance in the name of Jesus.

Brenda is stronger because she understands that the next generation must take prayer.

She has left her agenda and it’s God’s agenda.

3. My Self Image

God will tell us who we are and we’ll spend time telling Him who we are not.

Exodus 4:10-13 New International Version (NIV)

10 Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”

11 The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”

13 But Moses said, “Pardon your servant, Lord. Please send someone else.”

We often times argue with God. Our insecurities and comparison cause us to only see our own deficiencies.

He had a broken view of himself.

Broken Mirror: any image we compare ourselves to other than God’s intentional design.

Distortion: a change of God’s intentional design to meet the requirements of personal or outside influences.

A few years ago, Johnthan noticed he was getting white spot on his face. God told him he wasn’t finished designing him.

1. Who does God say you are?

This is truth, this is a fact. You just have to believe it.

2. Who do you believe you are?

As powerful as His word is, our belief either releases or restricts God. God wants to make each one of us originals.

The most expensive painting by Da Vinci was 4 million dollars. A copy only cost $242.42. That’s over 399 million dollars in difference. That’s because the creator never put his hands on the copy.

If you could just trust God, He will make you more valuable than you can ever imagine.

4. My Plans for My Future

Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.

God’s purpose prevails.

3 Steps to Prevailing Purpose:

1. Seek – Hearing
2. Scan – Seeing
3. Serve – Doing

It reminds Gary of a waitress who took the order for a large table, never took a note, and successfully brought everything out.

She said she created a picture in her mind to serve appropriately.

Gary heard God tell him that he was about to remove Gary as senior pastor. He didn’t think it was right, because he had plans.

At the same time, Mike was about to be a music producer.

When Gary and Mike both gave up their plans, God’s prevailing purpose was able to happen.

There were moments when the enemy would try to push and distract, but the picture had to be taken in their minds to overcome that.

Then finally, they had to serve. As they did, God started showing up. When He shows up, He shows off.

Don’t climb the wrong mountain.

You must experience God’s prevailing purpose for your own life. That’s His desire for you.

Gary got stronger when he let go of his plans and walked into God’s prevailing purpose.

5. Hiding 

She would literally hide in a closet when she was young – kitchen pantry to avoid conflict.

Recently, she dealt with the same fear, and went into that same closet, but the door wouldn’t shut.

Through her tears, she started laughing. God told her she needed to come out of hiding. The place that made her feel secure all those years couldn’t hold her anymore.  

Jonah 1:2-3 New International Version (NIV)

2 “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.”

3 But Jonah ran away from the Lord and headed for Tarshish. He went down to Joppa, where he found a ship bound for that port. After paying the fare, he went aboard and sailed for Tarshish to flee from the Lord.

Jonah went through drama that he didn’t need to if he had obeyed God in the first place.

As believers, our legacy should be, “God said go, so I went.”

For you, your closet is anywhere that you go that is not God. For you it might be back to a bad relationship, bad habit, website, the bar.

We have excuses for why we have a closet, but telling God why you can’t will keep you in hiding.

God knew that Natalie needed to get out of the closet for his purpose to prevail.

Letting go of hiding requires us to:

• Be Aware
• Accept
• Take Action

Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Come out of hiding because God has so much for you on the other side of that door.

6. My Will 

Parents say, “my house, my rules”.

Years ago, Tim’s wife saw a job opportunity that Tim wasn’t in the mind frame for him to apply to. The Holy Spirit was really trying to get Tim and his family to place where he would let go of his will and be better.

Mark 5:21-43 – Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman

1. Ignore what does not feed my faith

Some things just feed your flesh.

Even when Jesus got there, they heard the voice of Jesus but never modified their behavior.

2. Put people in their place

This isn’t permission to go off on people. When you put people in their place, you recognize that people don’t fit in certain areas of your life.

Jesus goes in the room and brings transformation. He immediately turns it into a restricted area.

3. Embrace closed doors

You can’t be upset when God restricts you. He is trying to raise you up behind closed doors. They may not see the process, but they’ll see the end result.

Closed doors can let you know that God has you right where He wants you to be.

Sometimes, He closes doors so you won’t lose focus.

The enemy tries to keep you distracted and not focused because he knows your children, your grandchildren, and your life depends on your focus.

7. My Overthinking 

You can think a thought to death.

Paralysis by Analysis: When a person overanalyzes or overthinks a situation so much that it causes movement or decision-making to become “paralyzed”.

Overthinking can be best equated to the word worry.

The word says, can any one of you add a single moment to your life by worrying? (Matthew 6:27)

Overthinking was causing Amberly to miss opportunities. God can’t move a parked car.

Amberly thought of all the things that made her ‘not good enough’, even when she was called to work at Transformation Church.

She thought of all the reasons she didn’t deserve to be standing there. Her good friend in Africa told her, “God is not a quiet God. Your voice and mind is too loud. You are too noisy.”

How many of us are too noisy to be able to see where God wants to take us and what He wants to do in our lives?

You rarely find peace when trying to control your own thoughts. You can come out of them more anxious, confused, and overwhelmed when you get deep in them.

Philippians 4:8 New International Version (NIV)

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

When her mind is out of control, she reads her Bible and instead thinks:

• God is Good
• God is Faithful
• God is Sovereign

If you don’t quiet your own mind. You will miss God.

Prayer: Thank you for these amazing leaders and testimonies. Thank you for your power to overcome. Thank you for equipping us with the ability to get stronger. We stretch our hands and decree and declare that God wants you to get stronger. He wants you to get rid of the things that are holding you back. It is progression over perfection and we love you Jesus. We are so thankful.

Amberly questioned, “who am I to be at Transformation Church?” She was ordained over 13 years ago. When TC called, she talked herself out of it. God is going to use someone to accomplish his will and his purpose. Why not you?

The favor of God will take you to places, rooms, kingdoms, jobs, and schools – places where you, on your own, do not belong. The only thing that can get you there is the favor of God.

When Esther was preparing to become the next queen, she obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her and the king loved her more than any of the other well prepared women. God chose to use Esther. Why wouldn’t he choose to use you?

Maybe you overthink what God’s will looks like. The gift is a gift and it’s freely given.
