Introduction

  • Crazy Faith isn’t crazy until you start saying something; it’s not Crazy Faith until you start Stating Faith
    • When you start saying things out of your mouth instead of just keeping it in a journal, it turns from just faith into a category of Crazy Faith where nobody can do it except for God
  • “Think good thoughts” is not enough. The only problem is the power of life or death does not lie in your thoughts. The power of life or death is in your tongue.
    • Verse of Proof: Proverbs 18:21 & Romans 4:17
      • Proverbs 18:21: The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
      • Romans 4:17: As it is written: “I have made you a father of many nations.”[a] He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed—the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.
        • When you “just think good thoughts,” you keep it in a battlefield that the enemy can still operate. But when you say [your faith] out loud, he can’t talk out loud. The enemy has no jurisdiction when you speak out loud.

Stating Faith

  • When you start stating faith, it changes the narrative
    • EX.) Mark 10: 46-52: Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road.
      • Verse 48: You got to be very careful in who you allow into your spiritual circle, and sometimes you can discourage yourself. You can’t allow what others say and what you currently see to state your faith
  • Practical: You need to go and write everything that’s wrong and then write the opposite
    • This is how we can start stating faith
    • God will do what He says He’ll do. If God said it, I’m settled.
  • Sometimes, when you’re waiting on God, He’s waiting on you to say what you need from Him
    • EX.) Mark 10:46: Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging.
      • The healing of the blind man happened at Jericho, the same location where the shouting of the Israelites, praising God as they circle the wall (“stating faith”) led to the walls crumbling down.
    • For this reason, you have to start stating faith until you see it!

Conclusion

  • Exodus 3:13-14: Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” God said to Moses, “I am who I am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”
    • When you step out in crazy faith and people ask how/why/etc., call on God, who is I AM (everything you need).
      • God is always ready to act or allow, according to His grace
      • When we’re invoking God’s presence (I AM … tired), what we fail to realize is that the power of His name is in your hands
      • In the face of what is, stating faith says “I AM!”
