Introduction

I’m still “here” and we’re still “here”. No matter how busy our lives are, and how much we want our lives to move ahead to something better, Pastor Todd says we are still here because God wants us here. God wants us to keep ourselves whole, healthy and happy here, and even if we do not like it “here”, God is with us.

Here is Holy definition

Here is Holy is defined as, “The awareness that your current situation (no matter if you like it or hate it) is sacred and being intentionally used by God to prepare you for your purpose; it’s opposed to there.”

~ We have to stand in this environment and still call it holy, even if it hurts

I Am Here and Because God is Here, Here is Holy

Here is the peak of God’s faithfulness. Therefore, here is enough to praise God and here is enough to give your life fully to God.

~Nothing past here is promised to me.

You Only Get Here If God Was Faithful Back There

We got to that place we were at because of how faithful God was to us in other seasons.

The Power of Here is Revealed by Your History

If we never look back on how God has delivered us from our history we probably will not value “here”.

Exodus 3:5-6
New Living Translation
5 “Do not come any closer,” the Lord warned. “Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground. 6 I am the God of your father—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” When Moses heard this, he covered his face because he was afraid to look at God.

~ In Exodus Ch. 3:6 God was telling Moses how faithful he was in his past.

~It is difficult to complain and be grateful at the same time.

The Equation of How You Got Here: You + Grace x Mercy = Here

Lamentations 3:22-23
New King James Version
22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.

“You” is the way you are (including your faults); “Grace” is what Jesus did on the cross for us; “Mercy” is new from God every morning. Therefore, we are only here by the grace and mercy of God.

God’s Purpose Doesn’t Consider Your Pedigree

It doesn’t matter where you come from, if you say ‘yes’ to God, He will take you and raise you to power.

~Joseph was dedicated to God and became second in command of Egypt and was able to help his family.

The Enemy’s Attack is Proof of Your Anointing

Hebrews 11:23
New Living Translation
23 It was by faith that Moses’ parents hid him for three months when he was born. They saw that God had given them an unusual child, and they were not afraid to disobey the king’s command.

The only reason the enemy, Pharaoh, wanted these boys dead was because there was an anointing on Joseph that was still carrying all the way to Moses.

You Didn’t Get Here Without Being HIDDEN

If you ever thought you were being overlooked it was actually God hiding you.

What God is Cutting Away Will Be the Reason You are Recognized!

Pharaoh’s daughter could tell Moses was Hebrew because he was circumcised; it was what he didn’t have, not what he had.

As Long as You’re Called, There Will Always be a Conflict Between Kingdom and Culture

Things that culture will say are normal, God will tell us is not okay; be careful who nurtures you.

Hebrews 11:24
New Living Translation
24 It was by faith that Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.

Your Foundation Does Not Have to Limit Your Transformation

Foundation is where you are, which is HERE. If you’re still here, there is still time for God to transform you.

The World’s Imprint Doesn’t Have to Stay in Place…It Can be Changed in His Presence

Romans 12:2
New Living Translation
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

~ Romans 12:2 supports this point because we should not be conformed to the patterns of this world. Instead we should be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Choosing Your Calling Will Always Come with Consequences…But it Also Comes with a Crown

This is a defining moment and thought process for all our lives. Are you more concerned about the crown or the consequences? FOCUS ON JESUS!

The Right Conviction with a Lack of Character Always Kills Something

Moses had the right conviction but when he killed a man, he was out of timing. He did not do what God told him to do here, so he did it there, because he thought that was how it was supposed to be done.

Could It Be That the Fire (Burning Bush) is a Sign of God’s Faithfulness?

Out of all the trials and tribulations Moses went through, he always said each time…. “I’m still here!!”

Take on this journey of faith even when culture is against you.

Conclusion

God wants to turn our question into praise from “I’m still here?” to “I’m still here!!” Here is the testimony of how faithful God has been back there.
